Are you an experienced credit risk professional looking to make a global impact? Join Hitachi Energy as a Senior Credit Manager in Europe and play a crucial role in our credit risk operations. In this key position, you will oversee and manage significant credit exposures with a strategic approach. You will work closely with the Global Credit Manager to assess risks and make informed decisions. Additionally, you will provide vital support to our business units and credit risk community, ensuring they meet their objectives while minimizing credit-related losses.

How you'll make an impact
- Contribute to Global Credit annual review process for key counterparties. Conducting research and documenting initial recommendations for credit decisions for large customers and projects.
- Authorizing credit limits within own assigned limits.
- Oversee and manage the activities of Local Credit Responsibles, providing training and guidelines to ensure excellence in credit risk management.
- Support Local Credit Committees and Business Units and functions including limited travel to countries.
- Monitoring KPIs such as credit exposures, limits, past dues and potential bad debt.
- Driving AR related working capital projects in assigned area of responsibility.
- Drive development, maintenance and upgrade Hitachi Energy's Global Credits tools for stable credit operations.
- Prepare material for presentations, data analytics and maintain internal communications platforms.
- Participate together with the BUs in settlement of significant delinquent accounts. Support the handling of significant accounts involved bankruptcy or impacted by legal proceedings.
Your background
- Demonstrable credentials as knowledgeable in Subject Matter area
- Several of years relevant experience in credit risk analysis of corporates and financial companies, business analysis, management reporting with a large corporate, bank or rating agency.
- Experience in a large global processes and projects (including ICoFR)
- Professional qualification such as ACCA and/or Post-graduate degree in Business Administration
- Graduate degree in Commerce / Finance / Statistics / Economics or technical degree.
- Fluent in English language and good interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to establish a network of experts and animate a community.
